Check your clients

It is important for you to check out who your client is. That makes your work safer. This is how to do that:

• Google your client’s name. Do the same with the email address and the telephone number
• Check Ugly Mugs to see if your client has behaved badly with a co-worker. Ugly Mugs lists clients who use violence or do other criminal things to sex workers
• Check to see if your client is on a fakers list. This is a list of clients who don't come to appointments or who otherwise misbehave
• Agree that your client phones you before the appointment, preferably by video call. That will give you more certainty about who your client is
• Check out the address you are going to on Google Maps. Did you make an appointment in a hotel, for example? Check whether there is also actually a hotel at the address
• Ask your client to pay part of the money before the appointment. That can be done using a Tikkie, for example. That way, you’ll have the client’s real name. The client will also have your name or your company’s name
• You can also ask for a digital gift voucher for a internet store. These can be sent and received anonymously. Your client will only need your email address, to send you the code of the card
