Recognizing danger

  • Is a client treating you bad? That is never your fault
  • There are things you can do to reduce risk of dealing with a difficult client
  • Do you have a bad feeling about a client? In that case, don’t make an appointment, or send the client home

Recognizing danger

You can’t always recognize a dangerous client, but there are things you can be on the lookout for. The most important thing is for you trust your own instincts. Do not see clients if you have a bad feeling about them.

Before the appointment

Sometimes, you can already tell whether a client is difficult before the appointment begins. This is how to recognize a difficult client:

  • It is difficult to make clear arrangements with your client. Regarding the time and location of the appointment, for example
  • The client keeps trying to get you to lower the price
  • The client continues to ask for services that you don’t offer. A blow job without a condom, for example. Or anal sex
  • The client does not want to pay part of the money when making the appointment
  • The client doesn’t want to phone you before the appointment
  • The client is on a fakers’ list. That is a list of clients who previously misbehaved with a sex worker
  • Check your client on UglyMugs.nl. Here you can search the phone number of your client. You then see if they are known to have been violent to sex workers

Do you recognize one or more of these things regarding your client? Then you shouldn’t make an appointment with that person

During the appointment

Have you made an appointment with a client? This is how to tell whether a client is difficult during the appointment:

  • The client doesn’t stick to the arrangements you’ve made. The client is very late, for example
  • The client complains about things you’ve already said ‘no’ to. Sex without a condom, for example. Or anal sex
  • The client does not want to pay when the appointment starts
  • The client has had too much to drink. Or is using too many drugs
  • There are more people in the room than you had agreed
  • The client isn’t listening to you when you ask them to be more gentle or rougher
  • The client says something like: “But other sex workers don’t charge extra for kissing!”
  • The client says bad things to you
  • The client tries to extend the appointment without paying extra
  • Is your client doing one or more of these things? If so, it’s a good idea to leave

Getting away from danger

Do you have a difficult client? This is how to end the appointment:

  • Are you in danger? Call for help. Or call 112
  • Stay calm and try to explain calmly that you are going to end the appointment
  • As soon as the appointment starts, be on the lookout for warning signals. Make sure that you are between the exit and your client. That way, you can easily leave.
  • Don’t get into a discussion or argument with the client
  • Are you in the client’s room? If so, leave
  • Is the client in your room? Then clearly tell them to leave
  • Is there an emergency button in your room? Use it if the client refuses to leave

Good conduct

Fortunately, there are also many nice and safe clients. These are signs of a good client:

  • You can easily make clear agreements with the client
  • The client pays part of the money before the appointment
  • The client sticks to the arrangements you’ve made
  • The client is on time
  • The client listens when you say no
  • The client listens when you tell them to touch you differently
  • The client is friendly
  • The client has showered before the appointment and looks presentable

Of course, you never know for sure whether a client who is on time is also a good client. So always be alert.
