- Do you work in a sex club? Then the clients come to you
- You meet them there in the bar
- The club must have a permit so you can do your work. You don’t have to arrange that yourself
- There is also a sex club where men work
What’s the procedure?
Do you work in a sex club? You work will be like this:
- You meet clients in the sex club bar
- You chat to the clients
- Does a client choose you? And do you also want to continue with the client? Then the two of you go to a private room
- You agree exactly what you will be doing and how much the client pays for that
- The manager of the club will keep an eye on the time for you. They will let you know when the time is up
- Does the client want to stay longer? If so, they have to pay more
- Does the client want additional services? In that case, the client will pay more for that. Additional services include everything that you didn’t agree about in advance
- The client pays the club’s manager. The manager pays you
Primarily women work in sex clubs. Transwomen sometimes work there as well. There are no special clubs for transgender sex workers.
What do you earn?
In a sex club, clients usually pay more than in a private home or in a window brothel
You pay the club rent for the room. You have to pay extra for some things. This includes paying for an ad on the sex club’s website. Ask the club what you have to pay for before you start working.
Where?
There are roughly 200 sex clubs in the Netherlands. At some clubs, clients pay a lot; other clubs are cheaper.
You yourself can chose the club you want to work at.
In most sex clubs, the sex workers are female. There was one club in Amsterdam where men work: Boysclub21. This club is now permanently closed. You cannot work there anymore.
Permit
Sex clubs in the Netherlands need a permit from the municipality where the club is located. You are not responsible for this.
